We would love to invite everyone to a light dinner and screening of a trans film hosted by JOLT’s trans support group and Planned Parenthood Illinois Action. This will take place at Imago Dei Church during one of JOLT’s trans groups and is open to trans folks, anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to the LGBTQIA+ community. The movie title is Death and Bowling.
Death and Bowling is an Independent film made by T4T Productions, a trans owned film company, with director Lyle Kash and featuring an all transgender cast. “In a fractured dreamlike world, a transgender actor struggles with what it means to be seen when the beloved captain of his lesbian bowling league dies and a mystery stranger shows up at the funeral”. This film explores themes of grief, life transitions, love, visibility and family dynamics, and premiered at the San Francisco OutFest in 2021. Trigger warning for death, complex family dynamics.
